📄️ Rule Applications

A rule application is a collection of related calculations and rules over a common data schema, stored as a single XML file.

Create a new rule application in irAuthor via File > New, the Start page, or the Ctrl+N shortcut.

Open an existing rule application file in irAuthor via File > Open, the Start page, or by browsing to the .ruleapp file.

Save a rule application as a file system file or as an irCatalog revision, each with different portability tradeoffs.

Configure a rule application's settings, such as its name and tree node labels, from the Home tab's Settings button in irAuthor.

Click Validate in irAuthor's Home tab to check a rule application for errors in rules, endpoints, and other elements.

irCatalog supports granular check-in/check-out for individual rule application elements like Schema, rule sets, and Endpoints.
