irAuthor Command Line

The irAuthor command accepts some parameters, as follows:

irAuthor.exe [ [/open:]file\_path ] [ /deletesettings ] [ /culture:culture\_name ]

/open:file_path

Specifies the path and name of a rule application or Rule Trace file to open. The file name must end with ruleapp, ruleappx, or ruletrace.

The prefix "/open:" is not required.

/deletesettings

Deletes all irAuthor settings, such as the recent rule applications list.

/culture:culture_name

Allows you to specify a culture that differs from your computer's environment.

For example, the command:

irAuthor.exe InvoiceSample.ruleappx /culture:en-AU

starts irAuthor with the English(Australia) culture and opens the InvoiceSample.ruleappx file.
